Thank you for joining Charmya e-Learning platform, one of the best online learning hubs in Myanmar. We at Charmya (“Charmya”, “we”, “us”) fully respect the privacy of those who visit our platform and use the Services offered by Charmya (collectively, “Users”). We want our Users to understand how we collect, use, and share their data. This statement governs our privacy policies regarding our data practices including the information we process to provide our Services. This Privacy Policy applies when you visit or make use of the variety of Services available at Charmya website (collectively, “Services”). It also applies to potential customers of our business and enterprise products.  

By using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. You shouldn’t use the Services if you don’t agree with this Privacy Policy or any other agreement that governs your use of the Services. 

1. User Information 

We obtain certain data from the Users when they started using our Services on the platform. We use these data to secure against fraud and abuse cases, communicate with our Users in response to specific enquires and requested information, make proper payment transactions, provide appropriate service offerings, update on promotions, newsletters, and new courses. 

1.1 Personal Data - We collect certain information about you when you create an account and start using the Services on our platform. The data may include basic user profile information such as User ID, Name, Address, Email, Phone number, ID Card Number, and Social Accounts. We may also gather specific information about Users when logging in including, but not limited to, such as IP addresses, ISPs, cookies, and browser types of Users with the purpose of data analysis to enhance user experience.  

1.2 Account Data linked to Third Party Services – We may obtain certain data from you when you log into our platform from third party platforms or if your social media accounts are linked to Charmya. If you access or use our Services through a third-party service, or click on any third-party links, the collection, use, and sharing of your data will be subject to the privacy policies and other agreements of that third party.  

1.3 Content Related Data – When you access our platform and use our Services, we will automatically collect certain data from you such as which courses you have purchased, started and completed, your ratings on courses, what kind of contents you are interested and have been looking for on our platform. 

1.4 Payment Data – We will gather certain financial profiles of the Users such as Bank Account, Pay Account and Credit/Debit Card information to ensure that payment transactions are well managed. In addition, there may also be the information being collected by our third parties which we partnered for payment processing such as banks and financial Services for using their Services. The use of financial data obtained by third parties is reliant to the policies and agreements of those organizations. 

2. Information Disclosure 
We will disclose your personally identifiable Information in order to comply with law or a request from a law enforcement agency to release information, to help prevent potentially illegal acts, violations of our policies, and data security breaches. We may also disclose your information when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of Users or if we get your consent to de-identify your account. 

3. Security 

We use appropriate security based on the type and sensitivity of data being stored. As there might always a risk of unauthorized access on internet, it is important for Users to protect their log in information such as username and password. Therefore, if you suspect someone using your log in information on the platform, please contact us as soon as possible and make your identity secured using our platform. We use user information to verify accounts and activity, protect users against spam, and investigate suspicious activity and violations of our terms and policies.  

4. Your Rights 

As a user, you have rights to review and change your personal information at any time by accessing your account or contacting our support. You also have the rights to opt out of promotional emails, unsubscribe for updates, acceptance of cookies, and other tracking technologies.  

5. Updates on Privacy Policy 

We may amend or update our privacy policy. When we make a material change to the Privacy Policy, we’ll notice users via email, through a notification posted on the Services, or as required by applicable law. The changes become effective the day the policy is updated and the revised date will be updated at the top of this privacy policy. The revised Privacy Policy supersedes all previous Privacy Policies. When you contact us for customer support or communicate with us for some enquires and requests, you may have to provide us with information related to your use of our Services, such as your account information and any other information that deem helpful for you.
